Quality Control Department
At Njimia (K) Limited, we believe that quality of products is built at every stage of the manufacturing process. All our activities are guided by well laid out Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in order to guarantee quality of products manufactured in the plant and released to the market. The key aspects of the quality assurance system in the factory are premises, documentation, personnel, equipment and utilities. Strategic management of each of these elements contributes to a quality system that assures achievement of high quality products.
The quality system is guided at the high level by the managing director (a trained pharmacist) and implemented by a team of qualified professionals at the broad sections of production, quality assurance, quality control, engineering and human resources.
NKLis routinely inspected by the Kenyan drug regulatory body, Pharmacy and Poisons Board and has been found compliant to current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP). Kenya Bureau of Standards (KEBS) has also inspected the antiseptic plant in line with Standardization mark requirements in line with ensuring quality.
The site has also undergone baseline assessment by United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) in September 2015 and is currently implementing CAPA.
